I have been commissioned to make a Philippine Fighting Knife. I have looked at a few pictures but have yet to come across something that is DEFINED as a Philippine Fighting knife.

The parameters that I am working with are a 1095 3/16 T x 2" W X 12 L Aprox

Questions:
    1. Do these knives NEED guards and what are they usually made of?
    2. What is the approx weight of these?
    3. What is the approx Dimensions?
    4. What classifies it as a fighter?
    5. Are these duel egged like a dagger?

[Any links to a Philippine Fighting Knife would help

    Thanks

It depends on what province or region you are going to fashion the knife's design for.. There are 13 or so regions in the Philippines and over 7100 islands.. If you get more specifics and find out what region's blade your customer is looking for, I might be able to help.
