OK, I guess no one uses Fiebing's Leather Sheen , so what finish do you put on your leather sheaths?

I know it's not the best, but I use shoe polish... It's cheap and I've got it on hand. If I was selling, i'd use something else. Dunno what though... Horsewright Horsewright what do you use?

Check out the tutorial by Horsewright Horsewright .
On page 2 he describes his use of neatsfoot oil.

Yes I do use neatsfoot oil (pure not the compound). After the oil has had a chance to set, (usually overnight) I finish with Fiebings Bag Kote. It makes leather look like leather not like plastic.

I used leather Sheen. Mostly on dyed or stained leather. After buffing it gives that Shiney look. Tends to sharpen colors but as Horsewright indicated it an look plastic like. For that satin finish like he said, bag kotes nicer.

Thank you sir! Ya bet!

I was rereading that link Richard posted above. At that time I was experimenting with RTC, a finish from Bee Natural. I went back to Bag Kote after we used up that bottle of RTC, just liked the Bag Kote better. We do use the RTC on the wife's horse shoe coasters that she makes. Seems to handle a wet glass a little better:

Pretty much everything else is Bag Kote:

I use Oakwood a conditioner, on rifle scabbards. Oakwood sets up and buffs off well. I had a hard time using BagKote on something as big as a scabbard and not getting streaks. A guy could use an airbrush though.
