I'm looking for any recommendations of a production knife which will satisfy me more than my Spyderco Howard Vielle.
I am also looking for recomendations for custom made folders that will satisfy the demands below or beat my all Damascus Elishewitz Persian.
Here's What I love about it:
1. The handle size seems to fit my hand perfectly.
2. The blade length seems right for every job I've needed it for.
3. The point works well for delicate cutting.
I'm not even sure what could be improved but I'm happy to try a better knife if I could only find it.
What I love about the persian is the heft of the knife. You know you have something solid in your hand and can't forget it is there.
Thanks,
Davy

That's too hard for me to say, everybody has their own preferences in what they want their knife to be. There are just way too many different knives out there by many. Prices range all over the board and that comes into play too with some of us. I think what you will get mostly by asking this question is just other Knife Knuts favorites. They may not be what you want though! For example, I have the Chris Reeve Large Plain Sebenza Dual Thumb Lugs coming my way next. Had many other knives I thought were the best and hopefully my last, but, there are always more. I gave up finding the perfect knife for my tastes, doesn't exist! So, I'll keep settling for what is out there that comes close to my perfect knife! It will never end Davy especially if you stick around here long enough!

Davy, if you've made the move to customs, and you like your Spydie Vielle, why look for another production? I don't think you have to look for new production knife to fall in love with, seems like they find you. Have you considered a Custom Vielle?

Phil, that's what I was going to say, the Custom Viele's are very nice and usually light as well. If you like the Spyderco version might as well get a big brother to compliment it?

Only my Starmate and Wegner compare with the production Viele. Nice knife.
