What folder do you all carry?

Good morning fellow Busse owners.

I was wondering, what kind of folders do you all carry? Since the mythical Busse folder does not yet exist, what models do you accompany with your favorite chunk of INFI, or as just a solo EDC?

I rotate my EDC between a Benchmade 710 partially serrated in M2 steel, and the beefy, superbly made Al Mar SERE 2000.

I was just wondering what long-time fans of Busse liked to carry as everyday folders.

My EDCs are a DDR CF EDC and/or CRK small Sebenza, and the work/beater is a 710HS with BodyCote's boron carbide/chromium coating.

1.Benchmade AFCK high speed tool steel(old one round hole)
2.Severtech Mill Bastard Auto A-2 tool steel
love those carbon steel knives.
Still carry a asault shaker around my neck every day also.

T.N.T.
While not quite nuclear, it comes very, very, very close.

The Large Hawkbill version

Man did you open up a knife drawer!

It really depends on what I am wearing and what I foresee myself doing. Generally I will have two, a slicer and a "utility."

With that said, I still lean to the favorites, the Sebs (lg/sm) and the MT LCC. I also like my Commander and Super Commander, though I feel like I overpayed for the SC. In the Tac department I'll rotate a Commander with one of the following, SERE2K, BM710HS, BM D2 AFCK or a BM 710 with the latter three axix locks working well on the left side.

When there's tough stuff/work anticipated, I'll grab on of the Buck-Striders (lg or sm). Even in light how much I like all of the above folders, I still have my old Endura that I take when I need a slicer of decent length and don't want much weight. I've had that knife a long time and like carrying it.

Lastly, when I just feel like getting away from one handed clip folders and have attire that works with a folding sheath knife, I carry my new replacement for my first love, a Buck 110. My old, old 440C one was cleaned up by Buck Knives and tucked away and has been replaced by a nickel bolster/BG-42 110. Who among us could speak ill about a 110?

OK, so long for now, I have to get dressed. I'll need two minutes to pick a suit, tie, shirt, socks and shoes; 10 minutes to pick the folders de jour.

I carry a few different folders, as a decently large fixed blade isn’t practical for me around town.

1. I always carry a large folder, preferring a large Classic Sebenza or Benchmade 710HS. I prefer the Sebenza overall, but the 710 in M2 steel is no slouch. The fit and finish is obviously better on the Sebenza, but I absolutely love the blade shape of the 710.

2. I always carry a SAK, using a Cybertool 34 around town. The Cybertool really rocks the house down. It’s the ultimate urban survival tool.

3. I also carry a small sheeple friendly knife. This knife changes often, depending on my mood. The three that get the most use are the Mini-Talon, Talonite EDC, and the A.G. Russell Cattaraugus rope knife.

I’m strongly looking at adding an Assault Shaker to my arsenal, and ditching one of my other knives. I really want something indestructible and highly portable. The Assault Shaker looks about perfect.

Mayo TNT, the folder will have to be pretty good to get me to change ;) (it will also have to be under 3" so I don't get thrown in jail :().

This is an easy one:

it's either a Ralph EDC or an LCC/DA

I do have a Sebenza that was born on 9-11-01, it needs to go back to Chris Reeve U and be tuned up.
Once that happens it will fall in to the line up.

I will also probable get a Mayo, just waiting to find one with a hole pattern and blade shape that I like.

The Sebenza and TNT will replace my EDC and LCC.

I've carried my Assault Shaker since I received it, and lately I've abandoned my folders and the AS is all I carry.

However, when I do carry a folder it is a Tom Anderson Custom.

I've also got a Kershaw Chive on my keyring for small jobs.

I'll add the Busse folder to the rotation once I get one :D:D

SERE 2K all the way. It replaced all my other folders. Now when Jerry gets that folder out, it will probably retire the Al Mar, but not until then.

Okay, I'll be the cheap bastid amongst all the extremely high-quality, high-priced knives mentioned above. (Yeah, I'm jealous. :)) For cutting of soft material, I carry a Cold Steel 34LT Voyageur which if I break or lose it I won't be out much $$. I also carry a SAK for the scissors, tweezers, toothpick, can opener, and the occasional use of a corkscrew. On my belt is a SOG Paratool (gotta have needle nose pliers for jumpers in computers). Around my neck is an Assault Shaker that never gets taken off, but it doesn't fold. ;)

I rotate a MOD Dieter CQD and a large Sebenza...

Wow!...what folders to rotate...:D

Either a BM AFCK (weekends) or a mini-AFCK in M2 (weekdays in the office).

One day, yes, one day, it will be a Busse....

Mike

Most often it's a SAK. I'd like to carry a Busse. I'm familiar with most of the knives listed with the exception of a "TNT". What is this?

At the job I use a MT SOCOM elite and a Swisstool. If it has to be a little more gentleman-like it's a MT mini SOCOM or a m-SOCOM auto. I like their designs and quality very much, despite the somewhat delicate tip.
And I'm waiting for THE folder too

Large Sebenza for working in back yard and on weekends. 80% carried.
Small Strider/Buck for a belt pouch knife. 10%

Small Sebenza for weekdays.
Larry Chew Mini-Spitfire for showing off.

MT MUDT / LUDT custom sometimes.

Hope this helps....

When in BDU's I carry my modified Buck Strider SB1.

When I am in Civilian clothes I carry my Large Sebenza or sometimes for a change my 1st Gen LCC/DA.

I would like to get ahold of a Mayo TNT.

OF course this will all change when Jerry introduces the Busse Folder:)

Right now, it's a Mike "Whiskers" Allen 440C lockback, engraved-everything, smooth-as-butter folder.

Thanks for the trade Mike! :) :) (revmic)

Now, as soon as I can figure out how to neck-carry my Busse... :D
