I'm new to the world of Busse and kin but was wondering of there was a predominant choice of folders for edc? Currently I carry spyderco and a zt 560. Just curious as to the popular choice when you have the ultimate hard use knife in a fixed blade.

A Swamp Rat Rat Trap goes everywhere I go. I think I have had one in my pocket daily for close to 10 years now.

A little "H&K" Benchmade is around most of the time but my favourite is a ZT0350 :D

ZT 0300. I am PROUD to have one of those in my pocket! Busse is to fixed blades as ZT is to folders.

Generally it's either my ZT 0561 or my Spyderco PM2 S35VN in my pocket, and a Leatherman Skeletool CX clipped to a belt loop.

Hinderer XM-18 3.5" spanto

Hopefully soon I can throw a XM 3" slicer and a 3.5" wharncliff in the rotation too :D

Weekdays I carry a mnandi. Weekends vary...hinderers, sebenzas, benchmades, spydercos, etc....

I carry a Wilson Star-Light Tactical Folder, 3.5" Drop Point.

She is really light to carry and supports a good grip.... I love it.

I rotate between a Wilson Combat Star-Tac, an ebony inlaid Sebenza 21, a Grayman Satu, and a ZT 560 (though I do have to find myself a real Hinderer XM one of these days), and a couple Spydercos and Benchmades. I'm kind of a flavour of the minute kinda guy when it comes to my folders, it really just depends which way the wind is blowing that day :D

Carried a ZT0300 for years, but switched over to the ZT0561 last year. I ALWAYS have my beat up Blur in my back pocket too!

Currently I have 3 in rotation.

Old 3.5" Cold Steel Voyager (pre triad lock)
Severtech ....the Busse of Autos
Spyderco Southard

I might part ways with some of you guys on this one.

A fine traditional folder with stag just makes me feel great. Great Eastern's Ben Hogan model is my current favorite. Just a beautiful knife. An Al Mar Eagle is a decent compromise between modern and traditional.

Other times, Spyderco and benchmade fill the bill. One hand opening knives are so very convenient. Still, I've lost too many folders to spend very much money on one. $150 is the most I'll drop on a folder. It's not that I'm careless, but when bouncing around outdoors hunting, fishing and the like these things happen.
