As the title says what are some of your favorite folders? Might be a cheap slip joint to a full custom. Let’s see them. I’ll start with a couple.

First up is a small Sebenza 31 insingo blade in Magnacut. I bought this one a few months ago. Decided I don’t want the pocket clip on it. I plan to just carry in my pocket. I then decided I want to have my anniversary date etched on the show side and our names on the back. Just something simple. I sent it to Jared and when it became my turn he showed me a couple ideas. We started with a border around the date. I’m not very artistic and I thought it looked good. He didn’t like it. He said he was going to start over and this is what he came up with and I absolutely love it. This will be a user so it will get snails and what not. If it gets too bad I’ll send back to Jared and let him vapor hone the finish back.

Now when I bought the Zaan I was just planning on using it. When I started talking to Jared I asked if he could put a flag on it and he said absolutely. I didn’t know if it would work due to the grooves in it but I was wrong. Once it became my turn he sent me a few options and I picked which one I liked and he said would work good. I wanted to make sure the back inscription would be clear so wanted a clean slate for it. It turned out wonderful. This also will be a user. On both of these knives he trued up the washers then polished them.

If you are looking or wanting to have laser work done send me a DM and I’ll let you know how to contact Jared. I don’t think I can mention his company name on here.

I'm not a slip joint guy. I cut my finger pretty bad when I was younger using my dads probably using it wrong but it closed on me. Ever since then I use locking ones.

Beautiful art work, I love how clean it looks! If you don’t mind me asking approximately how much would he charge?

Folders are fun, back-up options as I usually have 2 blades on me, one always fixed.

I've been stuck on Spyderco for sometime and continue to mostly only buy from them, if I am in the market for something. Spyderco seems to quench my taste for exotic steels, plus they make several models that have nice spear shaped blades, and wharnies, and other more severely drop-point type blade shapes - which I prefer over knives with steep edge curvature up to the trip. Typically very sharp when new, and often with thinner blade grinds than some maker/manufacturers.
