Got this from my wife's grandfather.

The blade says:

BUCK
*110*
U. S. A.

There are some that will be along soon that are the real experts on 110's but from the literature that I have the 2 dot (one on each side of 110) indicates that it was manufactured between '74 and '80. That's not engraved in stone and others may have a little better info.

Joe Housers sticky up at the top of the thread has a lot of info.
That one looks to be a late 70's one. This model has a 440C blade. Get it cleaned up and it'll be a fantastic user. Btw, that model may be my favorite. +1 Nice gift.

Mike, Those are becoming more sought after. It has Macassar ebony handles and 440C blade all in good shape.Hope you keep it.Good find.DM

Richard, thanks.A big discussion ensued over the 1980 2 dots a while back.I don't know if that lids been closed yet.DM

Thanks a lot guys. The knife is still quite sharp and locks tighter than a frog's ass. I need to pic up some brasso. What is the best way to clean it? Would a soak in WD40 be a good idea?

Mike, NO, do not soak it in anything.Just wash as normal in soap and water and dry. Then use the brasso per directions and wash in soap and water again and dry.Is all thats needed.Maybe finish w/ a drop of oil at the pivot.DM
