What gloves do you like?

First, are there any brands, styles or types that you like?

Second, I am specifically looking for some light weight work gloves. Something that will protect my hands but light enough that I can handle small items (bolts, nuts, etc). I have looked at the Iconclad line but I hear they wear out fast.

Josh;
Check out the Hatch line of police gloves. They have very thin unlined, kevlar lined, supra lined, as well as half glove models too. I have a pair each of the supra and kevlar resistors (cut resistent). These are "search" gloves and have a very sensitive feel.
You will probably only find these gloves listed where police or military equipment is sold.
They run in the $35.00 range.

For lightweight work gloves I like unlined deerskin gloves. The leather always stays soft, and is surprisingly puncture resistant (I'm not talking kevlar here, but compared to cow hide of the same weight). I've heard lightweight goatskin gloves are pretty good too, but never tried them. The deerskin gloves can be very expensive, but can be had for $15 or less a pair. This is obviously not something you want to wear to handle cinder block, or brick, but work great if you are just using hand tools, carrying wood or whatever. Kangaroo hide is supposed to be excellent, but I can't find them anywhere very cheap.

I have the Hatch Friskmaster Max with "Powershield X3". I know it sounds pretty WWF, but the liners are extremely cut resistant. Fit is good and they are not too bulky. My only complaint is that they are short and don't cover any of your wrist.

DPD;
I agree on the Friskmasters. In fact I had to cut the elastic on mine so it would not cut off the circulation on my wrists. Aside from that, they are great when working around sharp objects and sheet metal.

Proud owner of a pair of Vaseline-soaked cow hide working gloves, I am. Not very sophisticated and warm but are used to protect hands only.
I heard that goat leather supposed to be the strongest for the weight among sheep, goat and cow. No clue about deer or other more exotic skins.
