What gose best w/ 6?

i know its most likely been asked before but being new here i may as well ask, what smaller knife gose best with the 6? Izula, 3 and 4 are what stand out to me, but im trying to pick 1for field dressing deer and so on and the 6 is just a bit big for that imo.

Hey man,

I know guys here use both the 3 and the Izula for field dressing. I don't personally know the details of such work, but you may want to consider if the 4 might be too big for that kind of work. If blade width is a factor (if a blade can be too wide for the work that is) then that may negate the 4 and the HEST. Also you should be aware that the wire breaker on the HEST can catch things in a bad way. But that may be a non-issue given how you operate the knife during dressing. Hope that helps a wee bit.

ESEE-3mil!

Thinner than Izula (better slicer) and a better handle.

I prefer the ESEE-3 in this scenario. Why? Because for me the Izula is not optimal for extended use for delicate work. The 3 is perfect for skinning, fine or even heavy bushcraft and is great for cleaning fish. Now the Izula can do mist of this fine but for me I like the larger handle and more comfortable.

For skinning, the ESEE 3 gets my vote. Just about the right size for it.

Check out this thread for some pics of the 3MIL at work. It cleaned up like new with a stiff plastic brush and some Dawn dish soap.

I used to always say the RC-3 but I just got my Izula-II and I think that this will be my new companion knife for all of my bigger knives including the RC-6. It's so amazing that a half an inch plus the re-designed scales could make such a HUGE improvement on an already great knife.
