Hello, this weeken, i was the one asking what color is the FBM Blk/Green handle! The answer turn out to be...ONE OF THE KIND!!! I'll let picture do the talk first!
Happy yet? Please note, when I took it out, I thought it is a black G-10. It is very very dark like black...I had to use blue bulb in order for me to bring out the green during picture shooting. Since I hv sold my Black G-10, How does it compare with Blk micarta? Well....they both hv mineral oil on.
Not sure if you can see my note on picture. The blk/green G-10 has more smooth than Micarto (red dot area), The new FFFBM Green has the same spine as the FBM LE. When you look at detail of the Blk/Green G-10, it has a "wave" pattern under. Very beautiful, very manly...its a deep forest gentlement Green.
How do they feel in hand? The G-10 gives me a "warm" singnal in hand. I mean the actual temperture. The Blk Micarta gives "cold" temperture in hand. the tempture right the way is night and day. The G-10 fits like glove. I think its material nature, the Micarta really has the texture, which is always nice. In weight, I think Blk/green G-10 fat feel a bit lighter.
The Green/Blk G-10 really has mysteriousness to it. Cuz you rally hv to find the green (not easy to see the green at all in room) the feel in hand, I describ as..."sticky" it has nothing to do with the oil on the handle. The blade feels "sticky" like hv a glove on...its weird feeling cuz....i thought i can't let it go off my hand...
