What grind did the AK47 have?

And does anyone have one (factory or custom) with a zero edge? If so how does it cut?

Most CG AKs were "V" ground and I haven't seen any CG blades any other way. Except of coarse those that have been convexed by the owners.

There were some of the Custom AK47s that showed up with a ZERO EDGE. I have a RUCK like that and it laser cuts hair, paper, what ever. I have not gone out to use it on a bush yet but all things being equal I would expect nothing short of a serious slicer. I am not going out and take it to a tree. There are far better instruments to use than a RUCK, but if I was just slicing through 3/4" minus then the jig is up.

Hear is a pic from a friend of mine Lil-Foo that, well I don't know of a better pic that shows an AK-47 and a RUCK with ZERO Edge. Take a look at these!!!

Unless otherwise requested we generally did a zero edge on all of the Custom Shop satin AK47s.

The AK and the Ruck both had a pretty obtuse grind. Great for having fun whacking things, but not really very good cutters. Both need some degree of reprofiling to get a better choping/cutting edge. I had a chance to swing a Ruck with a beautiful zero edge done by norcalblacktail, and it does cut like a laser.

mine was coated and came with a V edge. I used my WSKST to put a nice convex edge on it. It'll shave, and it's a good cutter, but i've been trying for months to convince myself to send it to Norcalblacktail to have it stripped and fully con vexed
