I've been happy with my venev diamond stones with D3V to 400 grit then a 6 micron strop

Wondering how far everyone else goes in progression

all the regular maintenance is a white spyderco ceramic rod, unless things get ugly then the diafold coarse xcoarse. If they get really ugly, a norton tri oil stone benchtop, or I just got this spyderco cbn benchstone which seems to work ok so far. All the knives I've made so far had their secondary bevels applied manually with the norton oil bench stones. The stones are starting to cup pretty bad, which is way I got the cbn stone- it's big and double sided. But it's weird without oil or lubricant, feels weird but it's the recommended method so that's what I do

Try spraying some water on CBN, it might improve the outcome. I always use my resin bonded CBNs with water. Not a huge amount just some spray on it to keep it wet, it does not really absorb the water too much, so little goes a long way.
