What happened to Hinderer Knives

I just pulled out my Generation 3 XM 3.5 non flipper I purchased a couple of years ago. They were only sold to law enforcement, military or firemen at that time or you could pay twice as much on the forum.

Now I see a number of them on sale on their site and the forum was closed.

Why did the knives go into mass production? I also see the flipper now are not as desired as it was when I bought my Generation 3.

They stepped up production and supply started to meet demand. They absolutely aren't my thing, but I don't think it's at all a case of their quality falling off or folks wanting them less, it's jist that it's fairly eady to purchase one for the actual, retail price now, and that has pretty thoroughly punctured the inflated secondary market that had sprung up around them.

I've owned 2 of the most recent xm-18 generation and the quality is perfect. They just stepped up their production, by no means they are "massed" produced. They are still desired, there just isn't a massive shortage anymore.

They built a new and much larger shop about a year and a half ago (maybe two? time does fly). It's led to higher production, more models, more configurations, and more accessories. As a Hinderer enthusiast, it's been fantastic.

Macroeconomics, I hated that course. I read that they will still send a production model straight from their shop if you are an active first responder.
