Their site is still up but with a copyright date of 2007, so it is probably a zombie site. http://www.k9knives.com/
I heard Dan Koster left the company.
Was the CPM-3V fixed blade ever made in significant numbers?

I don't know. I just think that you might get better answers if you ask these questions in their forum.

Tom released pics of a new prototype, the ABPT, a couple of months ago. However, when he gets rolling on them is strictly up to Tom. He's a busy man..... so, we wait.

There's a K-9 subforum here, but I haven't checked it out to see if any of it's fresh.

As far as I know Dan and Tom are both still with K9 and the company is running. As somebody already said Tom posted a prototype of a new design fairly recently. It seems their business model is going to be batch production meaning they have a sign up for a design of a knife then manufacture to fill the orders with maybe a few extra and then on to the next design although previous designs could be manufactured again. This is a side project for them I think so there could be gaps in production.

I'm pretty sure it is just Tom now. Tom had posted a while back that Dan was longer participating in the K9 venture.
