I really miss seeing Nick's knives and all those great videos.
I know he had some major life changes. I am just curious if he is doing ok.
He was one of those that was nice to me back in the days when I thought I was a lot smarter than I really was.
I hope he doesn't totally walk away from the knife making world.
In my opinion, he is one of the good guys.

Yeah, on instagram alot. Posting knife stuff every once in a while, but mostly older stuff. Lots of dog pictures. I don't know the story nor the difficulties he's been through, but it seems like there must be something.

From what little I know Nick is very busy making knives.

Getting some pro shots of one of the Joe Paranee/Nick Wheeler Fighting Bowies and
just talked to the photographer to ask him if I could send Nick an image.
I think there were 12 knives in all.

Before that he did a Fighter run 10-12 in collaboration with Joe again.
These were all in addition to his other custom orders.

Edit: He also has a full time job and is even working overtime.

Doug :)

I thought he made a post about "changing" his day to day a little while back.

Whatever he does, I wish him all the best.
He is a super nice guy who generously shared a lot with our community here.

I totally agree
I hope he reads this thread and at least gets a good smile on his face.
He always posted friendly and generously shared his knolledge

Nick can't stop making knives... I'm sure of it. He was too crazy about it, and good at it. I think he had to buckle down and work a day job for a while, but I hope he'll be testing for MS within a few years nonetheless.

I've seen Nick on istragram with those two handsome Newfoundland dogs.
I think he may of had to get a 9-5 job to keep those two big dogs from eating him out of house & home.:)

Nick was around back in the early spring, then gone for six months. He came back a few days ago (10/28) and make half a dozen posts with pictures of a few projects. Hopefully we will see him around more often.

I heard he made a fortune as a porn star and retired. He does still make the occasional knife and Dos Equis beer commercial.
