What happened to PARA-MILITARY 2 - C81GPBK2

It is becoming very hard to find this model at about $110-115 at my usual dealers. Demand is greater than supply it seems just when I was ready to purchase one.:(
 
The price has been in the $120+ range for a while now, at least 4 months or longer. The DLC coating adds to the expense as does the all black hardware I would imagine. The regular Para2 is around $110, as a rule of thumb add $10-$20 for DLC coating.
 
I was going through the same thing last week when I was looking for an all-black pm2 at a good price; when I finally found one I jumped on it and it turns out it was their last one. I got it in earlier today and I am blown away with the knife. I wished I would have grabbed one earlier, it would have saved me a lot of money, well worth the search imo. Good luck :thumbup:
 
It seems every now and then a models availability goes down for a while, price seems to go up until new stock comes in and the price drops again.

At least, that is how it seems on a very large online store.
 
I sure hope this particular ninja PM2 will be back on the market and soon. I used to see it for around 115 at knifeworks for example but all I can find now is at least over 130 at some obscure sites.
 
Well demand has driven them all up, not to long ago you could find the plain-jane PM2 for $99.
 
I heard they have been out of production for 7 months! I don't know if Spyderco is hard up for money but if I were them, I'd fire up production.... they could probably sell as many as they make. I've been searching and will just about pull the trigger on anything LNIB. I have a destiny with a C81GPBK2.

Sal has been saying the Golden factory has been tapped out on production for a while now I'm sure they would love to make more but they have other models to produce too

Just hang in there. I just checked Amazon and the Digi Cam satin blade and normal P2 are back.

Funny thing is. When they are out everyone complained...now when they seem to be coming back in stock no one is saying anything.

Thats because you're not supposed to deal spot like this. Amazon isn't a paying member here.
 
Well I hear that the Brown G10 S35VN Para 2s are out but sadly not at those prices.

No, it was maybe about seven months ago they were out of stock, but then another wave came in a few months ago (they were available everywhere at regular price), and then they sold out again.
 
I've been checking the UK sites over the last few weeks and they've been out of stock. Yesterday I got an alert to say the plain camo was in which is the one I wanted so I ordered one and I'm glad I did, checking the site today it shows out of stock again!!
 
I just bought a para 2 about a month ago from howesknifeshop.com for 98.00 bucks shipped , they are one of the few dealers that haven't went up on their prices and they have great customer service as well, but it looks like alot of spydercos are out of stock everywhere right now. I wanted a back up gayle bradley and can't find one anywhere
