What happened to the archives?

I remember reading that archives 1 & 2 had been combined. Something must have gone wrong though because I tried to look over some of the old threads and apparently there are quite a few missing. Is it just me, or has anyone else encountered this problem?
 
I noticed that the archives go from Oct 98 to March 00. The problem is that the earliest threads for the present forum begin only in early November. That means that there is more than a seven month gap of information that is missing. I hope it is not lost. Some of my favorite threads are from that time period, not to mention the fact that there was a lot of valuable information there.

I know somebody somewhere copied all those archives to a disc but who and where I don't know.
 
Kam I checked the archive dates out and I get the dates from 03-07-'99
to 12-23-'00.
The current forum runs from 11-08-'00 to present.

I don't understand how you got Oct.'98? :confused:
The knifeforums archives go back farther than they do here as Uncle Bill started there first.

Uncle Bill started the H.I.Forum at bladeforums in March of '99 as that's his registration date.

I think the discrepancy comes from me not checking out the archives dates myself. I took it from Spark's description on the general archives page. So I guess that solves that mystery. What happened to the that half year in 2000? That segment of the archives contained posts and pictures from the very first HI Konvention.

I knew the date was around September the 1st so I went to the archives and then clicked on the "from the beginning date" then started clicking back one page at a time until I got there. I think it was 11 or 12 of my pages back, set on bladeforums default for amount of threads on a page.
If you click the single arrow on the right side it takes you back one page at a time. If you click the double arrow it takes you to the very first page, but you probably already knew that.:)

Edit:
Well it looks as if the pages are navigable from there, wasn't sure they would be. If you click on the left arrows it will take you to the late postings of pix.:)
