What happened to the BM940BT's?

I am a HUGE fan of the BM 940BT, I carry one everyday. No better production knife out there,IMHO. Anyone know why Benchmade axed these? I work in a knife store, and sold quite a few of these as people seemed to love them...but now you cannot get the BT blade unless its serrated.

Well that question poped up on the BM forum a while back when we found out the where axeing all BT plain edge knives except for the M2 and D2 blades. So not just the 94X series but all 440C and 154CM BT coated blades can no longer be had in plain edge.

We have no idea as to why my best bet is the BT plain was not selling like they wanted it to so they axed it.

There are, however, plenty to be found in the inventories of online stores. I've even found the 940 series with the reverse-tanto blade, BT coated, plain or serrated edge, with a red handle.

Thanks for the update guys. I really do wish they would bring them back. Im starting to fall in love with black blades and green or OD handles are always kewl,too.
