Other than a few in the exchange, I haven't seen many for sale lately. Out of stock on most sites, on Knifecenter it says "Usually ships in 3-6 months" Anyone know what the reason for the scarcity is?
Thanks!
Matty
IIRC, Microtech produces knives in batches and has recently been focusing on their higher end knives. Although, there was a recent thread stating they are back to producing their production pieces.
The Whaleshark, just like the DOC, shows up every now and then on knife sites. It's the same way with Strider, Emerson, Spyderco, and ZT (+ more).
Alrighty, Thanks Dave! Maybe I just picked a bad time to look into buying a whale shark!Hopefully they'll send some batches out soon!
I know of two Bladeforums dealers that had Whalesharks at one point in time, but I'm unsure if they still have them in stock.
Knifeworks has a few in stock.
The Whaleshark is not an automatic, so we should be in GKD.
