What happened to the "search" function?

Is it just me or is the search function missing?

Will it be back? It is quite important considering the numbers of posts in both the active and archived forums.

Holy crap! I didn't even notice that. I knew something was missing. Couldn't put my finger on it though. Spark, what's the deal? I wanted to read Vampire Gerbil's manifesto of madness, but now I can't find his posts.

IMO the search feature is one of the most important features on the whole forum. I use it quite a bit. I would think that people repeating the same questions over and over would use up a lot of bandwidth (though it seems like this happens anyway).

I hope the search function is brought back as well. It is a great tool (kinda like my knives) when looking for a specific piece of information. Also keeps me from asking all the stupid questions I need answered.

The search function changed my life! Seriously, I don't buy a knife anymore without checking every review ever written by a forumite. I think there will be lots of review requests without it...

Ok, I've done some tests, and I'll be returning the search function shortly... however I cannot say if it's going to be permanent or not... I'll have to see.

Basically, folks, we've outgrown the server we're on and we're going to either have to get another server, or figure out a way to stay within this one's limits. I'll let you know what's going to happen either way.

Unfortunately, "just go out an buy one" isn't something we can do, especially since BladeForums.com doesn't make enough money to even cover it's current bills. We'd have to make some pretty significant changes to be able to do that.

As for upgrading to 6.04a, screw that! Everyone who has upgraded with a board even close to our size has seen their server loads go through the roof and their bandwidth double or triple. That's not an option for us right now.
