Maybe ZT is trying to win the most innovative knife of the year award with the same model two years in a row.Seriously, should a manufacturer be eligible to win an award for a design they don't produce during the year it's awarded? Or should Blade change the category to "most innovative prototype of the year" instead?
:thumbup:I've been told by numerous people close to the KAI folks that the 0454 is indeed a go and sometime within the next month it will most likely ship (but supply will be very limited). I'm not a huge fan of the long wait times or that such limited quantities are made, but the quality of these sorts of knives KAI produces are simply incredible manufacturing achievements and push the boundaries on all fronts. They are certainly worth the nightmare of finding one and the price.
No. Common sense should do just fine. And I'm not unhappy. If anything, I'm impressed at what some manufacturers can get away with.
I disagree, you are implying there is something underhanded going on, and that should be clear to you (speaking of common sense) that is not the case. People get emotionally vested in dates and material items as if they have some psychological dysfunction, they breakdown, meltdown, and act like idiots when a deadline is missed. You've seen this before, and they do nothing short of crapping on a company at any given opportunity thereafter.
:grumpy: why can't I lock this thread, I found out what I needed and I feel a storm a brewin...
Rev, I guess that's why Busse always says "two weeks", huh? To avoid disappointment if a deadline isn't kept? I'm not upset about anything, just wondering if they still have it on their list of things to do since it's not on their site anymore. Being a longtime Busse customer, I'm used to waiting months to years for knives. No biggie, I have plenty to keep me busy (and plenty to keep my wallet drained) in the meantime.
