What Happened to Virtuovice?

Does anyone know what happened to virtuovice? He is/was the Japanese hunter who tested Bark River, Mora and Fallkniven knives while hunting deer. I learned how to sharpen on water stones from his videos.

He's gone silent and no longer posts videos now. Some people say he passed away. Others say it is a rumor.

Does anyone know? Is he OK? Here's a DBK tribute video to him from a few years ago:

Hmm mysterious. Could have died while on a trip, the wilderness is dangerous and can swallow you up and leave no trace, But let's hope not
 
His videos are quite enjoyable. To my knowledge, there is no online verifiable statement of fact concerning his current status.
 
Huh, come to think of it I haven't seen much of anything from him for a long time. Bummer, he has a friendly disposition and obviously took pleasure in tinkering with edges and searching for the perfect knife, just like all of us.

I really hope he's doing well and just taking a break for a while.
 
I noticed some time ago he had gone dark. I hope he's OK. I learned a lot from him and I always admired his "hunting belt".
