What happened to yablanowitz?

Hi guys!

I was stuck in traffic today. So I had time to think about and I remembered a kind guy here from the forums, yablanowitz.

I wondered what happened to him - has anyone of you heard of him? I doubt that he lost his interesst in knives, he is a longtime collector as far as I know.

If you have any information; it would be great!

I rescued mine from the clutches of the Postal...

I've seen members disappear for a few months and come back, usually they just need a break. ;)
 
He mentioned he was having a rough time (personal issues I would guess). Hope all is well.
 
As do I. Spent much time on the Spyderco forums. Seems like a great guy and very knowledgeable.

I know, Ted and it was that period of time that let me think and ask as well... I hope he just needs a break and nothing bad happened.

Two part answer to what happened:

1) The cost of living caught up with my income again, so I don't have extra money to blow on whatever knife catches my eye.

2) I opened my Ignore List to add someone who was annoying me and found I had more than 80 names on there. I figure if there are that many people I can't get along with here, the problem must be me rather than them, so I left. I still drop to read once in a while, but I don't log in.

I dunno. 80 people out of 240,638 doesn't seem so bad to me -- and I bet a lot of those 80 got banned shortly after you put them on your ignore list; that's the way it tends to happen.

Cost of living does seem to have it's own way of making our choices a little clearer these days, don't much like it though, but, it is what it is I suppose.

And you are using sound logic there, hehe, I've heard/read that a lot myself, if you have that many issues with so many people, what is the common thread? but, as Cougar says, I'd not count those as your problems myself, it's a BIG community we have here, just imagine if we ALL came to your house for Thanksgiving :) wow now that would be a sight to see.

Hang in there sir, unfortunately...you are STILL in Kansas my friend, maybe a move north and west is in your future?
