What happens to Friday knives that are not sold?

As any new collector/user, I have spend some time here going through old Fiddleback Friday threads looking at all the models and variations (at least a far back as the posts that still have the pictures linked). BTW, the maw comparison photo threads are super helpful.

I see some nice knives that were never marked "sold". I assume many of the knives not purchased here go to Fiddleback vendors or knife show tables.

Is there a list somewhere of unsold knives that are sitting around the shop and that might still be available for sale? I realize that would take a lot of work to generate and maintain, but I was just wondering.

Thanks - M4

I'm not sure there is a formal schedule from Andy but it appears that the few knives that aren't sold stay in his shop for approximately 2 weeks. After that, Andy bundles them up to one of his 4 main resellers:

the-knife-connection.com
usamadeblade.com
knivesshipfree.com
arizonacustomknives.com

You guys have it right - after Fiddleback Fridays the remainders typically go to dealers, or if it is getting close to a show we'll set aside knives for that. There is no formal schedule to things, but typically knives don't last much more than 2 weeks or so. Currently we only have 4 knives in stock.

M4 (or anybody else of course) - if there's a specific knife you are wondering about let us know and we can confirm whether it is still here or not.

Thanks,
Ken

Actually....Andy mails them all to meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ;-)

"They are given to the homeless. "

My wife said if I buy many more knives. I WILL be homeless!

Now THAT'S funny!! :D I'm getting remarried next fall. I have to buy now and keep buying until then. I'm hoping I'll be grandfathered in otherwise there will be a big sale next fall.

Wait... All I have to do is re-marry to buy more knives?!

That's it, I'm calling my lawyer. :D

I've been divorced for almost 17 years. I've become institutionalized as a bachelor but I know things will be changing. :D (all kidding aside she's Awesome! :))

Wow, that's awesome man. Must be an exciting time for you.

I'm 39 and have been married since I was 19.

Wife+kids= easily the best things in life. ;)

Congrats Imalterna on the keeper, MajorD on the upcoming wedding, and Strigamort on the 20 years.

My wife and I celebrated our 20th this last summer. She does the "knives again?!" eye roll, but I know it's just for show cuz she then does stuff like give me a Ahti knife for Father's Day.

Good stuff guys! Great to hear in this day and age. OK I think this thread can be considered officially hi-jacked! Back to knives. :D

... dviorce #2 ... a little over a year ago ... just started 'seeing' a real honey (in every way) ... she is perfectly fine with my addict ... err ... predeliction ... she told me the other day (as I whipped out a small folder to open something she was struggling with) ... "every time I see a knife now, I think of you ... " ... I think she likes me ... here's hoping that positive attitude towars knives sticks ... really growing fond of her, hate to have to ditch her ... ;)

Really the trick is to have enough knives that they can't keep track of them all, then they don't blink an eye when a new one comes out.

Then by the time they notice you can say "What? I have this for a long time!"
I like your style...
