Well, if the company dissolved and you don't see their knives around very often, I think the question kinda answers itself. As for particulars, I don't know. They definitely went the "tactical" route with their designs, which can limit their appeal (although it is a large segment of the market). I remember them being kinda expensive, particularly the Triton, which cost as much as a Microtech but apparently wasn't quite as good. Even if James Bond offed an enemy agent with one.
They appear to be "back" as Blackhawk (or, apparently BLACKHAWK!, complete with the exclamation point), but the CQD that I remember as being a premium knife is now a FRN handled AUS-8 knife that they think is worth $100, or a 440C version with aluminum handles for $180. Hard pass for anyone with a clue.
