First I put my groove thing on, then I stippled one. I left them in a drawer together and this is what happened.

I think this combo feels best so far. Very pleased with the result.

It feels great. I initially really liked just having grooves. Then I did one stippled. I liked it, but to be honest, it was perhaps just a bit too much grip. So, I was going to stipple a grooved one and decided to just do the smaller lines and leave the bigger spaces smooth. Glad I did. This has just the right amount of grip.

We shall see. If the next one comes out with the grooves going in the opposite direction or with a fourth bolt hole, then we have a problem.

What did you use to cut the grooves?

I used a rat tailed bastard. Just a word of caution, go slowly so the file does not jump and cut where you don't want it to, and don't go too deep.
