What has happened to all those village khukuris?

At one time over at this forum, village khukuris were the rage.
Nowadays, I hardly hear about them anymore. Have the boys in Nepal stopped making these country beauties?

I sure would like to see a bunch of these (with pictures) posted at the forum.

I miss these khukuris. There are a couple of trees at the back of my house which cry out for these village khukuris.

I think the maoist problems have interrupted the supply of true villagers. I asked a while back, and Uncle Bill said that the HI villagers were still coming in from time to time.

You should email him and see what's on the shelves.

Shelves are empty of villagers. Travel is curtailed due to Maoist activity.
