Does the alox version of a victornix knife offer better grip compared to their plastic scales? Because I want to get the Recruit but it has plastic scales, does it come in alox? I would get the Cadet, but I want the second blade compared to a file.

Yes, the alox textured scales are more grippy than the smooth plastic, although I've never really had a problem with the plastic scales.

Neither is high grip in comparison to tactical knife scales like G-10. The 111mm models include some with grippy material such as rubber inserts.

Between the alox and cellidor models I think it's more or less a wash.

There's no also Recruit, exactly. The Pioneer has the same blade set, but is larger. The Cadet is the same size, but has the nail file (as you've already observed).
