So i gave my first shot at carving a try today with my becker bk11, this is actually my 2nd attempt ever, the first was a few months ago i tried carving a face with an xacto knife kit i had just recieved as a gift, and it didnt come out so well, and i lost interest quikly, as i do so often. I honestly have a problem, i think ill like something and buy up everything concerning it just to find out i dont want to do it
i have 10 sheets of kydex and a sheet of g10, 2 different slabs of g10, and 4 different micarta pieces.... i bent 1 sheet kydex then i sanded a piece micarta for about 2 minutes and decided id rather just buy it already done......
OH YEA back on topic, so i decided to try and carve a face again today with the bk11 instead of the xacto kit. Now im no artist by no means. i cant draw a stick figure, hell my 6 year old can draw my name neater than i can. but i really enjoyed the blade on this 11. It slid thru so nicely and was very easy to control. sometimes it would go in too deep but i think that was operator errors. Its still no work of art but i was just happy my kids knew what i was trying to make this time, i wish i would of saved the last one to show yall the difference but it was trash, literally.
So here is my beckerized face
