Today's project was herbiciding a root system of an invasive plant that wants to rule the world...directions on the herbological-warfare-in-a-bottle say to injure the roots enough to get under the bark....

Have hacked away at this blasted plant with an electric trimmer to no avail...new toy came in the mail on Friday. Easy job for Heavy Duty

I'm getting ready to take my brand spankin' new 0121 out to the garden and start whacking away! I'll try and get some pics!

I wired a house for televisions, phone, Internet and security without wire strippers. I used my breakout and man, that blade is shot. Anyone got a sharp maker?

Love the Ripcord! Both the knife and the picture.

Hah! I love the Ripcord too! I wasnt quite sure if I would like it from the pictures, but I got it for a steal (couldnt resist). Turns out I friggin love the thing. It's one of my favorite blades for edc. It's one hell of a fruit slicer, I use it almost every day at work peeling my lunch. A worthy investment - Especially when you can get a 2nd for an andrew like I happened upon.

I took a few of my knives outside today. I usually use my cheaper knives for EDC while at work - No need to mess up expensive blades on the company's shift. Here's a Brawler and Kuro out doing some whittling. I was batoning the large fixed blade to the left - It's a Buck and I've had that thing since probably 1995 or something. Did a little whittling and batoning, but didnt find any job worthy for the 0121. Oh well, it will have to wait for another day.

(p.s.) For an andrew a piece, the Chinese Kershaw's are great little knives. I got the x-mas special on the Brawler. The Kuro is pretty easy to find as well.

Kershaw has the best bargain knives on the market IMO. My Chill (thanks Mark), has skeletonized liners, and it's a $15 knife. The blade centering is perfect and the lock-up is solid.

Truth. Even their Blurs are bargain knives IMHO. For 60 bucks, you really cannot go wrong with a blur. I absolutely love mine and want 5 more in all colors, lol. I try not to buy too many products from China, but I don't mind a little here and there. I'm an equal opportunity consumer! Gotta spread some of those funds to Taiwan, Canada, USA, Japan ,etc :)

Here's the only pic I have of my now missing 0550blk - I've lost it somewhere. Hopefully it found a home where she'll be appreciated - Maybe whoever found it has put it to work!

My BK11 does not slice through dried yucca stems or green orange tree branches. However, it can whittle both orange branch and dried yucca stem with ease.

The 560 hacked through a couple vines - 1" diam or less - while out back walking the dog today. It did a good job. Only two or three hacks each to get through them.

I just opened up a cocunut this weekend at a flea market with my ZT 0560. First I drank the juice with a straw and then wanted the meat. I beat that knife through that coconut and the ELMAX@ steel held up like brand new. I had that cocnut in pieces. i thought i would have to spend time fixing damage on the blade as i stuck that coconut and slammed it into the ground trying top break it in 2 peices. But the knife cuts hair and paper like new. There is not a mark on it and it appaears to have zeero wear......

Now I am very impressed with the Elmax steel and this 0565 that i have been carrying it all week.
