Mine was a SOG fasthawk. Got it with a gift card expecting a toy, it is actually a decent tool

The regular SOG fusion hawk Is actually not bad but I am sure the handle with break if you throw it. I was expecting it to be quite soft or prone to chipping because everyone says stainless is no good for Hawks.

Rinaldi trento felling axe, in several ways. It was a lot heavier in hand than I thought, especially with the long handle. I cut the handle and I was finally able to hit my target more often. Then I found out that the thin blade bit deep but had a tendency for sticking when hitting wood at 90 degrees like I did with my fiskars. Starting using angles more and the thin bit really came alive for me. Kind of an "excited, disappointed, enlightenment and happiness" progression with that one. It's a bit of an odd axe but it works nice on the dry wood I tend to chop and it's more fun than a saw. I may improperly use it from time to time like a brush axe too, since it has such a long edge.

The Cold Steel trench hawk. Got it for a toy really, but it surprised me. Obviously the blade could do a lot of yard work, but the back spike is useful too. I've used it for getting long thistle taproots dug out(and the roots of a stubborn bush). It's also good for busting up ice buildup on my sidewalk where the gutter drips. The blade holds a pretty good edge too.

Basically anything by Cold Steel. At the price you'd expect something near BudK quality, but they're honestly very well made basic tools.

Council's 6 lb. flat head ax. For a splitting axe this one is a real performer. A real labor saving tool. DM

A lot of cold steel stuff is great I expected the Norse hawk to be decent. Mine wears a 13 in handle. I didn't expect the fasthawk to be a serious tool
