I have mixed emotions on a knife sell. I sold my first purchased Busse knife, a NMSFNO in a muddy finish.
The buyer is down here in AUS. It is his first Busse knife. I kind of felt like a papa sending a kid off. I had mixed feeling on selling but I was also kind of excited for the guy. I remembered how I felt when I held my first INFI piece of steel.
Has anybody ever been happy to help introduce Busse. Now that I type that I might be setting him up for ruinning his credit, lying to his girl, sneaking to the post office......maybe I should try and get the knife back.....I gotta go

David, we all understand the feeling :( We watch beautiful pieces of INFI leave the shop every day. . . but it always makes you feel better when you know they are going to a good home  We are coming out with some awesome new models, so I am sure you will find something that tickles your fancy. Good luck :D

Pokey, My fancy is getting harder to tickle. I find myself looking a Custom Shop jobs and that dang MOAB. My fancy is starting to smile at about the $1000 mark......

"I used ta do a little but a little wouldn't do So the little got more and more"

Do it! Sell I off, take pride in knowing you are introducing another piglet to the world!!!!

Just as Stacey sold me
My first, he will remember you always!

I have sold more than I own. I believe I have sold 10 and only own 4 right now.

It's all good. As long as the sale funds more steel, no regrets!

It is nice that you passed a great blade on to a new piglet. I bet that tickled him hog pink. It is harder to get infi down there. I hear it has some thing to do with the toilets flowing backwards or something.

I have bought some SigSuaer Stainless steel and aluminum and some Armalite aluminum......it's time to "pay the man"

David, you just 'ruined' someone else's life... ;):D

Hey Elof_alv, He is a Sydney guy. I spoke with him on the phone, seemed like a good fella. I told him it would be his first Busse :D...."I will just take one little puff".......I also advised him that he will have a good supporting team down his way. If nothing else someone to share in shipping costs.

It is never easy to let one go. Just remember the good times and know there are more where that came from.

Garth

I wanted your NMSFNO pretty bad David but funds committed elsewhere...doh!
Can only imagine the smile on his dial :)

LOL! This is too funny....:D I would say it was a good thing you did letting it go. Now you can order something new, variety is the spice of life!

I've only sold one piece of INFI, and regretted it almost right away. I tried getting it back, but the guy had had it shipped off immediately to have some customization done. So no more selling for me. I would rather pass them on to friends and family than sell them off.

Just a little footnote that I hope that didn't sound stuck up. I realize there are times when people need to raise money; heck, I could be there too. I just meant with all things being equal, I don't have any plans to sell off INFI.

You never really own them. You just have them for awhile. They will out last a mere mortal man and be handed down to the next generation or passed out to friends or fed to the masses of existing or soon to be INFI addicted pigs, piglets or full blown hogs. All you can do is enjoy today. :)
