While I was at the in-laws place the other day they gave me this SAK that they found while having a clean out .
I've never really owned a " normal " SAK having really only come over to SAK's because of the Alox models.
What do I have here ?
I found an old belt sheath at home in my pile of sheaths and it fits perfectly , so this thing is riding shotgun at work for the next few days .

Nice looking explorer there! That one has the glass magnifier, the new ones have a plastic lens, and are not quite as good. it looks like that one is fighting fit.

Thanks guys .
The tools and blades don't seem to have done any work , but there are marks and scuffs on the scales .
The in-laws didn't even know where it came from and have no idea of its history or age .

Good one, I love the inline philips and wish it was available on more models.

Agree on the inline phillips. In fact, I like a lot of features of that Explorer: "big" scissors, magnifier, second pen blade, and the inline phillips driver.:thumbup:

Sounds like you've got some valuable in-laws, Ken! :D

I've carried it at work for a couple of days now , and I have to admit it hasn't really been used much .
My Surge gets the nod when a tool is required and my Svord Peasant gets called up when something needs cutting quickly .
The Explorer has been left out of the action and just been more weight to carry .
I think I'll leave it at home today and start carrying it in my pocket in the evenings back at camp . Nothing to strenuous happens there and if something comes up then I'm sure the Explorer should be capable .
