What have you guys safely cut with the S35VN used in the seb 21 without damage to the edge? I know how to sharpen, but rolling or chipping out an edge irritates me, so i'm careful with what i cut. What have you guys cut without damage, as well as maybe less obvious stuff that caused damage?

Bone, wood, my flesh (ouch), and slipped on a box and hit a stainless table. It rolled slightly on the stainless table but didn't chip. Also, I can't identify the wood I cut, but went through the wood easily.

Do not be afraid to use this knife. It may look pretty and fancy but is a beast. I think the softness that people complain about helps with chipping?

I have cut all sorts of things with my S35vn Sebbies. The only time I've ever experienced chipping was cutting a cardboard tube a carpet came in. Not quite sure what was in with the cardboard but it also scratched the blade up a bit!

Just use it! I use mine all the time for everything you can think of. The only time I have damaged a blade (not a sebenza but it was s35) badly was when I slipped while drying a knife and basically threw it onto a tile floor. Even then, the steel rolled but did not chip.

The steel is durable . The slightly softer treat, will allow it to roll. It did not strop as easy as some steels. But none the less it was wonderful.
I cut zip ties and thin wire on occasion and it never hurt a thing.
Just enjoy it. It will everything you want and more.

Used my large Insingo to reform some heavy cardboard boxes to ship some guitars , still shaving sharp after 3 major projects.

Zip ties, green saplings, cardboard, shaving pvc, stripping wire, plastic packaging, and cutting coarse dog hair (ha ha ha) it's a highly capable steel.
