I went to a knife store with my friend yesterday afternoon. Instead of looking at the autos, BMs, Spydercos, CRKs, Striders, and other knives as such, I went straight for the cabinet full of Cases and other slipjoints without even thinking. It was as if I was drawn towards them.

You've all changed me. And I like it.

It wasn't long ago that I would stroll right past the Case display at SMKW without even a glance in their direction. Now I spend most of my time there.

I've seen them and I want them. Bad. Gotta smaller budget though, so gotta start small.

Welcome aboard Alex, care for some Kool-Aid? :D If you're looking for small and cheap, traditionals are the way to go. A nice Case peanut is a wonderful way to start!
 
So, you've done the equivalent of changing from Corvettes to Lincolns.
Next you will be looking for a 1914 Apperson Jackrabbit.
