As we know, our Field Knives have this wonderful pry/scrape at the end of the tang which can be used to preserve the cutting edge of the blades.

As the thread title indicates, please share what you've used yours for. Or what uses you anticipate handling with it.

I believe someone mentioned striking a ferro rod with it in a different thread.

Works as a bottle opener, and is really nice to look at.

Will be testing a ferro rod shortly, not sure if it's gonna work well.

I am not sure if mine is sharp enough to strike a ferro rod. I plan to try though.

Works great to free the towing ball lock when it gets stuck on the trailer hitch.

Copied over from a different thread.

I forgot to add, that if you like making fire and drill bows and stuff, the scraper does a hell of a job making sockets

makes me want one! Sweet write up man.

the thing at the end of the handle can also be used to scrape things, including your flint, and when you tie a lanyard there it's covered completely for safety :)

also, if you like throwing knives, this one's balanced and shaped just right ;)

And I've confirmed that the scraper, will in fact, throw sparks from a ferro rod. I didn't get a huge shower of sparks but that may have been because of my technique and it was a new ferro rod and the coating wasn't completely scraped clean.

Right on the end? Was it tricky to do at all? My user should be here next week then I will have a go too.

Video?!
