What have you used your Bk-11 for so far?

I thought this question would be interesting and yield up some good responses. I'd like to know what anyone has used their Bk-11 for. Battoning,
wire-cutting, shaving, feathering, hair-shaving (barber-style), spear-fishing,
etc, etc. I look forward to reading any responses. I've used mine for battoning
so far, cut some strings, some vines, briars, nothing more yet. Pictures are welcome. Anyone cord wrap their handles? I've tried. I like it better than bare, especially in the cold. Anyone done anything serious abusive with their Bk-11, such as punching holes through sheet-steel, etc?

Thanks in advance.

Would ya believe it was perfect for scraping paint from my garage door?
It got into all of those nasty crevices that a scraper won't get. Yes, I have used it for every day chores as well, but that is the single most memorable project.

Not much yet. I've used it at the table on steaks and such, sliced bread for sandwiches, opened packets of this and that and so far, that's about it.

Stuff like this...

This fall, I hope to clean some game with it. Contrary to my expectations, I've used my BK-2 much more already. Just made a small wooden spoon with the BK-2.

Scraping paint off a garage door? Well, that's a new one on me. It's a little knife that can do big tasks. Eating with it, huh? I might have to try that. Well, today I wanted to experiment a little..I fixed mine at the end of about a foot-long shaft. There were some plums in my tree that I couldn't reach (and wanted to eat). Hehehehe..makes an ample
improvised-pruner too. (Got the plums, three or four of them, they were ripe and sweet.)
It's still shaving-sharp. It's my favorite knife. Never had anything like it before.

I popped a beer, whittled, and sold it to my little brother, along with a rig I made for him. I misjudged the BK14 release, so, now I am without a small Becker. Anyone want to donate one? I will return it when my ESKABAR gets here:o. Moose

there are a number of threads where people have cord wrapped them. not quite full on tutorials, but everyone has a method...

people have stripped them, put on micarta and wood jammies, new sheaths...

others have convexed them, and done other serious mods (the birth of the eskabar perhaps by coincidence)

batoning. yup.

all kinds of stuff. search the threads. lots of pictures.

feel free to cross-link when you find good stuff.

Wish I could figure out how to use the wire-breaker notch..would've help when i got tangled up in my blue berry patch. :P
I haven't modified mine, it's the same as it was when it got here. (Still hate the sheath,
though, rattles). Pitted some plums with it, and a peach too. I recently gave it some para-cord pants. Black pants to match it's coating. :) Seems to give more grip. Oh, also,
before I forget..I have so far now:

Used it to start a small fire (in a grill) with a mag-bar. (Didn't use the edge, either)
Used it as an improvised pruner and plum-grabber.
Battoned.
Feathered wood.
Shaved wood.
Dropped it on my big toe (ouch..)
Figured out a way to use it as a spindle (with a bow-drill).
Trimmed my nails. (Then cleaned it thoroughly).
Ate fruit with it.
Added para-cord pants.
Gave it a name..Toe-slayer..hehehe.
Discoved a method to make it into a tiny 'survival' knife.

Even with the new knives I'll order (eventually), it'll still be my favorite. Nothing can top it in my book. Heh, it's a little knife that can do big things. I can't ask for more than that. Hmmm..I suppose I could add a para-cord braid with a skull on it to it..that'd be interesting..and maybe one of those ESEE pouches, a clever fellow on youtube did that.
Hmm, yea, and with it's para-cord handle (inside of which I can stow tiny things), it does
seem to make a fine 'survival' knife. Oh, and a TDI clip..that way I'd not need to wear a
belt. I wonder what else I could do with it (or add to it..)...? Maybe one of those Remoras..

Thank you all for the replies, they have all cheered me up, especially the nice pictures. (I recently lost my best-friend..) Collecting knives and modifying sheaths, and trying to find more uses for my Bk-11 takes my mind off my loss, and makes me feel a little better
and a little less sad.

I have had mine about a month now. I have EDC'ed it and used it a lot checking the edge retention. It held up good I think. The hardest thing it was used for was battoning and cutting some roots in a hole I dug. The most important thing was open about 12 beers.

skinned a deer,opened bottles,carved wood,added micarta scales then stained them a dark brown with 3 coats of polyurethane(looks really good),opened boxes,opened mail,cleaned fish,cleaned a rattlesnake,cut up steak

I used mine to pry open a friend's car door after she locked her keys in it. We got the door open enough to hit the unlock button with a stick so she could get on with her day.

im trying as we speak to upload pictures of it from my cellphone onto my computer(i dont have a good camera just yet)

yeah, that is tough.the only prying ive done with mine is prying apart joints on deer legs, but its nice to know you could if you wanted.

I've opened a few pop-tops with mine. Also, tried a few cord wraps on the handle, and learned how not to do cord wraps! :D
