what hydraulic press die to use

I want to move my billet in straight line and not have it get wider. I am now using a 2" wide flat bar but maybe a rounded bar would work better.
Any opinions on the subject. Thanks

For drawing out, use a drawing die. Cut a piece of 2" round stock in half and weld them on two plates . Top and bottom drawing die. You can make them a bit flatter than half round for a more gentle draw.

If it was only on one plate the billet would stretch in a big curve. That is how circle band rollers work. You have to move the same amount on both sides.
