Hiya!
A while back, I posted here, asking what my options were, as far as carrying an auto on my weak (left) side while on duty as an armed guard roaming the streets of North Las Vegas.
The post is here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=167774
There were lotsa great suggestions and since I'm totally unable to make a decision, I chose 3.
Actually, one of 'em wasn't even suggested, but I got it so the guy that designed it can make a buck offa me.

First, I got me an Emerson Commander with that Waved thingie on the back of the blade. The one I bought was a right handed model, so it's not perfect, but I still manage to take it outta my pants and it's ready for action.
(Can you hear my giggles?)
I really like that blade alot! So do my guard buddies, but they can't play with it.
I also bought a CRKT M16, designed by Kit Carson.
I actually like that knife better than the Emerson, but I can't get it outta my pants as fast.
(!!!)
What I decided to get tho, was a Microtech SOCOM with an American Tanto blade, half plain, half serrated. I got that one from WWW.S4supply.com
Patrick runs the place.. he's a member here, but damned if I know what his user name is!
Anyhow, he's a real good guy and sold me the knife at an EXCELLENT price!
It's what I carry now on duty and even though it's a right handed model, I'm able to take it out of my....
Ok, sorry, enough of that..
I'm able to deploy it rapidly.
I carried it for the first time last night, and I asked my supervisor if he was into knives.
"Are you kidding?", he says, "I'm Japanese! Of COURSE I am!"
So I then denied showing him, saying that he'd only stick it in his belly and disembowel hisself, and I don't wanna have to clean off the blood/other outta the knife's mechanism.
After we laughed hysterically fora while... well, *I* laughed... he just glared at me.... I handed it to him and he was mighty impressed!
"Aren't switchblades illegal in Nevada, though?", he asks.
"Uhh... no.. not for armed guards", I says.
Good enough for him,I reckon!

Anyways, I wanted to let the folks that responded to me know how I made out and what I decided on.
Thanks again for all the help, especially with the Emerson! I never woulda bothered looking at one, until you mentioned it here, and now it's one of my favorites.
The Kit Carson designed M-16 is downright AMAZING when you look at the qualiy/price ratio.
If Benchmade or Emerson made an exact duplicate of that, it'd go for over $200, I'm sure!
Thankjs again for the help folks,
VG
