Some of you may have seen my post in the snark thread about me modding my 2. So here it is.

Added a thin pice of steel to stiffin the loop. (now painted black)

Possibly my best Jimp-job to date

Now the stencil didnt grab the sheath well enough so I had some paint leak through. I cleaned most of it up but forgot to take a pic.

Nice....what did you use for the Jimping & to etch the blade ?

I used a dremel with a cut off wheel for the jimping. The etching was "red necked". I got the etch mask from MRN8 on the forum but dont want to say exactly how I did it because they is a very high risk of electrocuting yourself. Just buy PCB etchant at radio shack.

EDIT: I didnt go deep on the etch because I didnt know how I would like it. What I did just barely catches your finger nail and took about 10 seconds to do.

You didnt use a battery and a cotton bud soaked in salt water did you?

Yes, but I used a 112 volt battery charger instead. I also find vinegar and salt work better. Just sayin'

One thing I gotta ask, how'd you get the etching to stay dark in colour afterward...Most etching I see are etched in but the same color as the steel.

Hmmm. Honestly I have no idea. For me it just stays dark. I tried cleaning part of an etch on my 14 after I sanded it and I couldnt get it clean. Dumb luck is my best guess.
