What I did tonight instead of working on a knife (Pics with Donna)

Ok Now as most of you know I used to be a Manicurist and some like to pick on me about it.But check this out and you an really pick on me.I did a set of sculptured nails on Donna tonight so that her hands would look more femanine for the calendar shoot she promised.My daughter Heather got a picture of me doing them so I thought you might like to see,Plus there is a good one of Donna in the next reply:D :p ;) :D
If you look at Donna's picture in the post on my last Bowie then see this one of her with the same Bowie,you can see the diference.
Now go ahead and give me a hard time,and don't drool to much over Donna I mean the knife:p

Cool Bruce...but ya know what would look cool for the pics? How about some press on Damascus nails? Now that would be BAD!!!!!

I am getting all "randy" as Austin Powers would say just thinking about it!!!!!
 
Actually that does sound cool...These are not just glue on nails,They have a tip set on then a acrilic powder and liquid mix set on with a brush to shape them then filed to final shape and buffed.All by hand and eye to look as natural as possiable.Almost like doing a handle with files and sandpaper to shape..
I wonder if this acrilic that is used for the sculptured nails would work for doing a escuchion plate on a handle or inlay work ?????It is like the stuff they use to make dentures out of so it is really tuff and durable.
They have these polishing files that is used with the sculpts that I seen ata hobby store for models the other day.They work great for those tight hard to reach places on a guard or handle and are not expensive at the beauty supply store.They are made with a foam core and can be cut to what ever size needed to reach that hard to get spot.Just a idea for some of you to try.

Bruce, Thats really nice of ya to do the girls nails. It looks as though you have a real talent for it. Kaye wont let me grind hers at all.

That knife really is awsome! The flesh tones as a back drop really bring out the finish.

When I showed this to Jeanie I think she got the idea I was appreciating Donna more than suggesting Jeanie model knives for me.

I stand by my guns though - it's 50/50!

Bruce: The two art forms go very well together, the bowie, the hand, the nails -- keep on that track and you will achieve greatness! I like the hand holding a Blade magazine, kind of keeps it all in the family. Nice Work to all!

Here Dan are a couple of pictures of some other knives with stockings and Donna's legs.They are the ones that started the whole idea of me haveing here model for me..What do you think.And see her nails were short in these pictures also,I guess I should have done them for her before now ;)
