What I got on Friday!

So, I get home Friday and waiting for me is my USPS package from Busse, containing (what I think) is only my CABS. You can imagine my surprise when packed in there along with a bit o Thinfi goodness (and let me tell you guys, it is GOODNESS)is the straight handled Satin Jack I sent in to the Custom Shop awhile ago. I have to say, this knife is almost to pretty to use, just simplistic, rustic, beauty. I had them put a satin finish on her, zero the edge, add a swedge and ram horn handle slabs. Well, enough talking, on with the pics, and please excuse my indulgent picture taking, its just such a pretty knife.:D:thumbup: Garth really exceeded my expectations on this.

I've often pondered sending one in and having similar work done, I fought off the urge, but after seeing yours ...........




& at first glance I thought it was a culti :o
 
I thought picking up some Corona & take-out was pretty good way to start the week-end, but this has that beat by a mile . . . :)

The cabs sure are something. I am so glad I got one. Just loving it! I started a leather sheath for it tonight. Hopefully I will get it don this weekend, so I have some pants to carry it with.

Yeah, the balance of this knife just screams to be used.

I need to get on making some pants for my Cabs as well, but hopefully I'll have a bit more time during the week
 
Garth sharpened my Busse SAR 3. It is now razor sharp and slicing paper like butter. I know what you mean when you don't want to use it, but thats what your knives are for.
