I have seen two scans of this knife and one had a grind like the hobbit neck knife: short and shallow hollow grind, and the other had a deep hollow grind that almost extended to the spine.

What I have seen Utilities with two different grinds, which is it?

The grind comes up half way on the width of the blade - sort of in between what you had written. I would say that it is the same grind as on the Fang (my are at least).I have a pic of each at home that I can send you if you would like them. Let me know
Both of them hang so well, very low profile -
handle on Fang is small (ok, to me), but I like the blade better on it. This isn't to say the Utility isn't nice either - you can't go wrong with either!
