A wild suggestion fueled by early morning coffee adrenalin:

What if Buck Knives made a 110 styled knife with a Titanium frame and a different blade steel? Keep all other design elements the same, but use some "modern" high performance steel, and replace the brass frame with Titanium . . . .why not? Sure, it would cost more, probably a lot more, but it would bring a sixty-year-old classic right into the Twenty-First Century.

If it ain't fix...don't broke it......or something to that effect.

There is something special about the 110 that just adding fru-fru frills to, would detract from it.

Just my opinion of course.

They have made a titanium 110, more or less and do offer other steels in the classic frame. I think 99% of Buck 110 buyers walk into the hardware store, sporting goods store or Wally World and buy one without ever knowing the other possibilities. My dad for example has had the same buck 110 for 50 years.
