I were to offer my handles in the same dimensions as the model 42? I would use 1/2" stock instead of 5/8 so the weight would be less, but the size would be similar to the old 45's still having the nice solid feel of stainless. If I get enough positive response I might offer that also.

Just curious,

Mer,

personal preference is the size handles of the Customs from PC and BM. But I have large hands. Still worknig on my Talor/Seto blade. Send it soon.

Works for me. Would it be an issue if the blade was 3/16"? Since the 45's had 1/8" blade stock.

Benchmade's sure sold a ton of 'em that size. You can't argue with success.

Thickness wouldn't be an issue. It's only 1/32" on each side so there's plenty of room. I'm working on a proto in between re-handles so I'll post some pics soon.

Eric, that's great. That's definitely something I would consider.

I would deffinately support the idea. I like beefy, but when it comes to carrying, the combination of "beefy" and SS (not ti) gets quite heavy...not that heavy is bad...just heavy:)

Offering it as an option would be great -- a choice is always good!! I have two 31's ordered and want to keep one "stock" and have you re-handle the other one.
Any suggestions, guys on which size handle thickness to use ?? I'm still new at the bali scene and all input is appreciated ! :)

I do think you'd get a positive response Eric. I also have pretty big hands.., and like the Custom handles.., but I certainly know quite a few guys that like the production sized BM handles lots!
