Well, after looking at some more of the HI site, I'm interested in users. I think I've found them.

British Army Service model

Uncle Bill Especial (are these still available?)

Yvsa Cherokee special (that's pretty cool man, I like the handle designs  )

Bir Ghorka bowie

Oh yeah, uses. Primarily camping, brush removal, display.

SHS, the UBEs come up as specials every once in a while. Just had one this week, I think. They are great, scary-looking blades, and will chop with the best of them.

The BAS is a pretty little knife. I have one in my truck for, well, stuff. They are good for only light chopping, though.

Villagers are very nice. Almost any of them.

Just watch the forum, almost every day Yangdu has some specials. The UBE is my favorite "custom khukuri" from the shop. It's a great chopper and the upswept point comes in useful. It's a big curvy Bowie. The YCS is beautiful. They're pretty rare though. I haven't used mine yet... it cries out for use, but it's so purty!!
You're gonna want an M43 and a Gelbu or Chitlangi soon, too. The bug gets everybody :D

Which process? If you mean getting one of the specials, look at the 'Instructions for ordering' sticky at the top. If not, please as again.

There was a bowie on yesterday's specials, and as of last night Yangdu didn't declare it sold. Send her e-mail to check.

UBE - I got one(another one) from this week's specials. YCS - were a special order, but they do show up once in a while. I think you can still order a Foxy Folly since they haven't got it to spec yet.

For your first (of your list), I'd normally recommend the British Army Service (BAS). But, I believe Yangdu is all sold out of those right now.

So, second on my list would be the AK Bowie - heckuva nice knife - comes up on deals very frequently.

The YCS is rare, though word on the street is there might be another run later this year.... :o :footinmou *oops*
It's worth every penny, that's for sure. ;)

I don't have as much experience with the UBE - others might tune in on that one.

The 15" Ang Khola is similar but generally balanced further up the blade.
