What is 420HC...

What is 420HC as found in the Kershaw Scallion? My best friend just bought one and I can't figure out where this SS falls compared to the others.

I dont know the alloy content, but it replaced bucks old 425 modified. Seems to be reasonbably good stuff. Sharpens quick, takes a good edge, holds it for a fair amount of time. I think I read somewhere that they switched as much for workability as for anything else. It has good cold punching charateristics.
