What is a Ganza?

It sounds like a feeding of the HOGS, but what exactly is it and how might a growing piglet take part???:D

It's a special knife sale here on the forums. It starts with teaser pics, then full pics and prices. Finally there's a "go" where you send an e-mail requesting the blades you're interested in. First come, first serve. Fun stuff, but you can get trampled.
 
thank you for the response, are they past models, new models, or both? is it something that Jerry does or is it something that collectors can do? how long is the tease process?

I haven't been around long, but the last ganza was the SFNO LE; there were only 300 blades to go around, and it was for HOGs only.
 
Seach function, keyword "Ganza" and "Ganzaa" will get you more info than you could want. :thumbup:
 
I figured there was something I could do like that, I'm sure the Q has been asked before.

In general the Ganza's come in three varieties
1.)Special limited Runs of knives- could be a new knife or a variant of an old model
2.)Overruns of knives-they make a run of knives under contract for a customer and have extras could be very limited or could be fairly substantial
3.)Getting rid of excess inventory after a big show-Usally after Blade and Knob Creek if they have a lot of inventory left they will have a ganza to get rid of the knifes that they did not sell at the show.This will include several different models mostly custom shop pieces but there are usally a few combat grade pieces also.In general the models are limited to the ones produced in the last few years so you probably won't find any of the older models.

No problem :thumbup: It gets asked quite frequently around here. Most anything that one could want to know can be found by using the search funtion. Sometimes it can be a pain when it isn't working right though.

Welcome to the forum. It's a great place to hang and it's filled with a ton of great people. Watch out though, you may end up picking up a drinking problem as well as wondering where all your money went!! :eek:

  • The tease can leave you blue, if you know what I mean... ;)
 
A Ganza for me is a TRUCKLOAD of e-mails and at least 2 cases of Coor's Light!!!!!

Oh and my eyes cross..............:p:p
 
Its the most fun you can possibly have on a computer!!!

Don't forget to get hammered out of your mind and F5 a lot. Having an empty gatorade bottle nearby might be wise. Look for the stickie post.:thumbup:

a Ganza is an injection of anxiety over which one justifies the mass expenditure of funds one does not have and attempts to hide it from ones significant other...
