Hey all! I did a search on this but came up empty handed, it looks sorta like a Berk w/o the cool little tools and a longer sword of shiva... am I off base here?

Thanks!

Don't know John. It's hard to tell from looking at Bill's pix. At first I was gonna say it was a new sorta fat bladed single fullered khuk that was fairly light in weight due to one being 20" and 20 ounces. But the next day there's another 20 incher that weighs 32 ounces or 2 pounds.
I haven't made up my mind if I like 'em that much or not, maybe when we see a few more I'll decide.;)

What's your take on 'em?:D

I knew a man Bo jange
And he cut for you
The karda, too.
With sharpened tip, a wooden grip
And silver cho, from the old kami
He cut so high, he cut so high
Then he lightly chopped down

I met him in a knife store on the internet
I was down and out
He looked to be the knife for me
As he spoke right out
He talked of choppin, he talked of choppin
He laughed, and cut my leg a little bit

Mr. Bo jange, Mr. Bo jange
Mr. Bo jange, dance!

If they're fullered like a Berk I think I like it alot, hard to tell from the pics though... seems a nice belly and weight though... plus traditional bolster... all plusses!

I dunno what a Jange is, but I like 'em.
Btw thanks Danny for the laughs, after being at work for 18 hours on a Sunday for emergencies, I needed it.

As usual, "Jange", is a corruption. This khukuri is modeled after one carried by Junga Bahadur, one of Nepal's early Prime Ministers and a very effective one. The original is on display at Nepal's National Museum. One of the kamis, most likely Bura, went to the Museum with Pala and sketchpad in hand and the "Jange" is the result.

Do you think they will be a regular item Uncle Bill? Or are we just seeing the Kamis do some stuff for fun.

LMAO! heeheeee.

Me likey the Jange. Totally awesome, like that Tin Chirra that slipped me nets a pace back. Arrgh!

I doubt if the Jange ever generates enough interest to become a regular.

Interest here on the Tin Churra.

Uncle Bill,

On your explanation of the Jange: Did you mean the khukuri was an effective one or the Prime Minister? Or both?
