What is a "One Armed Bandit"?

While checking some of the older posts on this forum (trying to catch up, as I am somewhat of a newby here), saw this term used quite a few times, especially in relation to the 560 (which I own and thoroughly enjoy).

A "One Armed Bandit" is any variety of slot machine! But wait...you don't mean that kind! Your answer should be along momentarily.

OK...Just took a pix of my 110 with the 'one armed bandit'. It allows you to open the blade with one hand and usually has a BG-42 blade. Mine doesn't.

go about getting one. Is is something I have to have done, or can I do it myself?
